Meet our newest team members
Every month we like to introduce the new members to our family by finding out a bit more about them. Last month, we had 5 new members join the Scot JCB group across all parts of the business, with some new faces and some returning back to the business:
Ben Stewart - Apprentice Engineer - Glasgow
What did you do before joining Scot JCB Group?
Before joining I was in college studying business and servicing engineering.
What are you looking forward to the most in your role?
I would say I'm really interested in learning new skills in the field.
When you’re not at work, what do you like to do?
When I'm not working, I like to Play football with my friends
When you were younger, what was your dream job?
When I was younger I wanted to design computer games for a living
Who would be your 3 ideal dinner guests, past or present?
My three ideal dinner guests would be My Grandad, Will Ferrell and Jon Bernthal
Callum Austin - Apprentice Engineer - SIA Glasgow
What attracted you to come and work in your role?
I have always enjoyed finding out how things worked and operated. I prefer hands-on work and I like to solve problems and fix them so I can get a positive outcome
What did you do before joining Scot JCB?
I was at school before joining Scot JCB. I decided to stay in school to finish my exams before I started working so that I had a better qualification just in case I needed it
What are you looking forward to the most in your role?
I'm looking forward to getting out and about and going to different places. I'm also looking forward to learning more about compressors and generators and finding out what compressed air is used for.
When you’re not at work, what do you like to do?
I'm pretty much like any other teenager. I enjoy playing football and going to watch it. I enjoy playing my Xbox, going to the gym, and spending time with my friends.
When you were younger, what was your dream job?
My dream job when I was younger was to be a professional footballer. Pretty much the same as every boy.
Who would be your 3 ideal dinner guests, past or present?
The first person would be my pappy so I could get to talk to him and see him again. The second person would be Sergio Ramos as he was my idol when I was growing up. The last person would be Cristiano Ronaldo as he would have some great stories to tell.
Joe Burrow - Apprentice Engineer - Carnforth
What attracted you to come and work in your role?
I was attracted to this role because I want to do something different every day and work outside being hands-on.
What did you do before joining Scot JCB Group?
Before I started at Scot JCB I studied engineering technology at college and worked at B&Q.
What are you looking forward to the most in your role?
In my new role, I am looking forward to getting hands-on and solving customers’ problems to keep them satisfied.
When you were younger, what was your dream job?
When I was younger my dream job was to be a Pilot.
Who would be your 3 ideal dinner guests, past or present?
My 3 ideal dinner guests would be George Russell, Tony Beats and Ryan Reynolds.
We are also delighted to welcome Stuart McPherson, Parts & Service Coordinator, SIA Aberdeen to the business and Jack Bell, Parts Sales Advisor, Carlisle, who returns back to Scot JCB Group after a brief time away. Welcome everyone!
