Scot JCB Engineer Lara Mcleman named SPOA Plant Mechanic Apprentice of the Year

We are proud to announce that Lara Mcleman, an apprentice engineer at our Muir of Ord depot, has been named SPOA Plant Mechanic Apprentice of the Year at the Scottish Plant Owners Association (SPOA) Dinner on 7th February 2025.
A Well-Deserved Honour
Lara’s commitment and passion for plant mechanics have not gone unnoticed. Members of the Plant Mechanic Team at the National Construction College Scotland shared their admiration for her work ethic and skills:
“Lara is an extraordinary apprentice. Her dedication to the course, ability to meet deadlines, and consistent attendance have been outstanding. She takes a methodical approach to practical tasks, often completing them proactively before being asked. She consistently goes the extra mile.”

A Proud Moment for Scot JCB
Our Joint Managing Director, Iain Bryant, expressed his pride in Lara’s achievement: “Lara fitted into the team at Muir of Ord immediately, and her commitment and ability have truly shone through. We are incredibly proud to have her as part of Scot JCB.”
Lara was thrilled to receive the award, saying: “I am absolutely delighted! I love my job and really value everything I’m learning through my apprenticeship. I’m incredibly grateful to Scot JCB for this opportunity.”
